Losing
data is a horrible thing. Besides restoring data from backup, you can resort to
DIY data recovery software or send drive to a lab where engineers can help retrieve
data by professional technology and specialized tools. But here’s another opt –remote data recovery.
Remote
Data Recovery
Remote
data recovery refers to data recovery engineers retrieve customer’s data back
through a modem or Internet connection. Compared
with data recovery in a lab, it’s faster and costs less. You can try remote
data recovery service if your hard drive encounters a logical failure like
accidental format, deletion, partition lost, damaged directory, RAW format,
virus invasion, 0 byte, etc. That is to
say, your drive is still functioning but your files are inaccessible due to
logical failure.
Necessary Preconditions of Remote Data
Recovery
- Storage devices losing data (hard drive, flash drive, memory card, digital equipment, etc.) can be connected to computers in a normal status.
- Computer system can run well and connect to internet.
- Computer is equipped with remote assistant, communication tools.
- No virus and Trojan.
- Enough storage space to save recovered files.
- Stable and smooth network.
Pros and Cons of Remote Data Recovery
Pros:
People tend to rely more on traditional data recovery method than RDR. First,
they believe that only engineers with highly specialized tools in
state-of-the-art clean rooms can restore lost data successfully. Secondly,
information security is another concern. In their opinions, it is unreliable to
having computer systems and valuable data connected to a third-party system. In fact, RDR offers same advantages data
recovery in lab. And it is more cost effective and fast, because you don’t need
to send drive to a lab and wait for recovery. Security is really not a question
in that each recovery is performed through a connection secured with
proprietary communication protocols and encrypted packets.
Cons:
RDR can only deal with logical failure problems. RDR isn’t an expert in Physical
failure.
In
the marketing, there’re many companies offering remote data recovery service,
such as Seagate,
Kroll Ontrack, etc. Use RDR to
recover data due to logical failure is to save time, money and restoring peace
of mind as soon as possible.
Informative .. Thank you.. Remote recovery services are really helpful.. My system crashed and I had complex hardware issues which I cannot resolve alone..So I thought of Contacting IndiaCSSI(- http://www.indiacssi.com/remote-data-recovery) for remote recovery as I did not want anyone to access information which were confidential to me.. Thanks to CSSI .. The recovery happened right infront of me and I was able to retrieve data successfully.
